004 - Getting to Philosophy with Roam Research
Hey friends, happy Monday!
Getting to Philosophy
I just published a new article on Roam Research, a note-taking tool that I love.
Calling Roam a note-taking tool sort of undersells it. It is a note-taking tool, but it is also great for writing and thinking:
This is the graph of the nearly 3,000 notes I've made since January. Everything I’ve thought about and written about. All the meeting notes I took, all the reflections I had on something I’d read or a conversation I had.
The article I wrote is a love-letter of sorts to Roam and what I can foresee as being the biggest impact of using it over a long period of time.
I'll be upfront and say it is odd (and extremely nerdy) to be so infatuated with a note-taking tool. But I've learned a lot using Roam that I don't think I could have learned using another tool. I give a few examples in the article, which you can read here if you're adequately inspired to do so!
End Note
I'm on the other end of this email, so if you found this interesting, hit reply and we can chat! You can also share it with someone by forwarding this email or sending them to https://hawthorne.substack.com.
Have a great week!
